Share of energy from renewable sources in total energy consumption
In 2021, the share of energy from RES in the gross final energy consumption of the Republic of Cyprus, according to the provisions of Directive (EU) 2018/2001, reached 18.42%, exceeding the indicative path for a share of 14. In addition, the share of RES in the electricity sector reached 14.84%, in the heating-cooling sector 41.34% and in transport 7.19%.
